What the certification covers
Security profile handling, device model and component lists, and the updated transaction service. Units ship with 1.6J and 2.0.1 firmware side by side, switched per site from the CSMS.
What changes for operators
Nothing on day one. Existing 1.6J backends keep working untouched; you opt into 2.0.1 per site when your platform is ready. Roaming and master-key handling follow the Open Charge Alliance certification path.
Rollout
All units built from this quarter onward ship with the certified firmware. Field upgrades for earlier hardware are scheduled through the support portal — no truck roll needed for WiFi and Ethernet units.
